Synopsis
“Yokai To Nakanaori -Make Peace with Melancholy Beasties-” is an immersive story of shared empathy, created for Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025 as part of XR FESTIVAL ASIA & Sanrio Virtual Festival Project.- We all have too many worries and feel weighed down as they grow overwhelming in modern society. However a small poke sometimes break apart giant and chaotic worries into small problems to face constructively. They can sometimes lead to their growth, that is, having worries itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. This is the immersive story to help people to make peace with worries. We hope players will change their perception for worries and will have a little courage to reach out people in distress.

exxp is a community of XR creators founded in November 2022. Focusing on immersive content that leverages VR and AR, the group explores new frontiers of XR expression through cross‑disciplinary collaboration and experimental projects. Their work spans everything from designing worlds and avatars for social‑VR platforms to producing games, services, and art pieces with Unity and Unreal Engine. Recommended by the Beyond the Frame Festival for XR FESTIVAL ASIA, members Fujito, sion, haku, samirin, and Zinsay have teamed up to create a performance piece from their unique perspectives, which will be showcased at the Sanrio Virtual Festival 2025.
